Do you breathe fire, spit fire, or eat fire?

The only verb fire Thom does is eat fire. In the past he has done everything with fire, but in your theater or college, he only eats it. The act is scripted and not a word changes.

Are you insured for fire-eating performances?

Yes. Full insurance coverage is available. A Certificate of Insurance can be requested via the contact form on the FAQ page.

What safety precautions do you take for fire-eating shows?

Thom's costume (a tailored 3-piece suit) is treated with fire-proofing spray. The floor is covered with fire-retardant banjo cloth. A fire extinguisher is on stage in plain sight, and 1-2 people are offstage with a fire blanket.

Do you have a flame effect plan, certificates, and hold harmless documents?

Yes. All required documents are available. Contact Thom directly by phone if a specific document is needed.

FreakShow & Tell has been performed for over 30 years at theaters including the Lyric Opera House and Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto, the Arizona Science Center, and over 45 colleges and universities nationwide.
